Boys And Their Toys
"Once you wash away their social veneer, the patina of civilization, you find that humans are tribal. Put them in groups and they revert to the lowest common denominator... hooting and panting like chimps... anxious to wage war on one thing after another... Conflict gives them a sense of solidarity and gives their lives meaning." — Doug Casey
Today we take a look at the executive branch.
Now that billionaire goyboy, Donald John Trump, will be returning to the Oval Office, MAGA / MAHA Republicans are thrilled that the swamp will be drained and our liberties restored.
Of course, this isn’t remotely true. The swamp is a deep complex of intelligence assets and political radicals bent on destroying civilization in the name of power and control.
Americans will continue to be taxed, surveilled, inventoried, restricted in our movements and, I fear, soon drafted into a global military conflict that could be ended in 24 hours.
Let us now transport ourselves to an alternate universe—far, far away—where Mr. Trump is a man among men. A leader for the ages. Upon being elected president he immediately announces that:
The U.S. is closing all global military bases and pulling all of our troops home.
We love everyone and are happy to trade with them.
However, we will no longer subsidize or support any foreign nation as an ally.
All treaties are canceled. We’re going to mind our own business from now on. Fight your own wars. We’ll watch on TV.
If anyone thinks twice about messing with us, we’ll put their lights out.
Have a nice day.
The military budget is slashed accordingly and the funds used to provide medical care and housing for every homeless and vaccine damaged person in America.
Back to reality.
Boys love their toys, and chimps gotta’ hoot. And so, war will proceed as it has throughout the millennia—with hypersonic missiles instead of spears.
The good news? Everything moves in cycles and nothing lasts forever. When the coming conflict ends and the pieces on the board have been rearranged, a new era will emerge with the potential for a rebirth of freedom and prosperity.
But that may be a decade or more from now. What can you do in the meantime? Live your life. Stay nimble, stay loose. Keep your head down. Don’t be a joiner. Stock up. Network with fellow travelers. Ride it out.
After all, it’s just a game. And remember, you elected to be here in this time and place. So pass the popcorn and enjoy the show.

"Often war is waged only in order to show valor; thus an inner dignity is ascribed to war itself, and even some philosophers have praised it as an ennoblement of humanity, forgetting the pronouncement of the Greek who said, "War is an evil in as much as it produces more wicked men than it takes away." — Immanuel Kant
