Notes From Gordon: Britain Warns The Pubic To Prepare for War

From The Article: In a June 25, 2025 post, Martin Armstrong writes:

“The UK government has warned that the nation must ‘actively prepare for the possibility of the UK coming under direct threat, potentially in a wartime scenario’… ‘Iranian hostile activity on British soil’ is to be expected… to disrupt critical supply lines and energy infrastructure…”.

A Note From Gordon: Could war come to America in the form of cyberattacks on electrical generation, Internet, water purification facilities, and more?

What would one do to prepare? I’d say that a propane generator, portable solar panels, rechargeable power stations, lots of extra water, Starlink for backup Internet, two-way radios, six months’ worth of cash and two years’ worth of food wouldn’t be a bad idea. Don’t forget a bucket full of pre-1964 silver dimes.

Look around and make a list: medicines, household goods, gardening or hydroponic supplies, tools, pet food… In our family we use online tools like this one to track price drops on items we purchase regularly. For example when trash bags recently dropped 40% on Amazon for one day, we bought a bunch more. “A penny saved…”

The Boy Scouts taught me to “Be Prepared.” Given what lurks on the horizon, I think it’s time for Americans to be prepared.

The ‘Risky Reader’ Now For Sale On Amazon

My new book, The Risky Reader: Essays On Fallen Freedoms, Cultural Collapse And The New America, is now available on Amazon and contains over 60 of the best essays I’ve written over the past 30 years.

In the book I do my best to explain the nature of the relationship between humankind and the governments we create; why every government in history has failed, without exception (and why this one will too), and; how an understanding of why this happens can avoid repeating past mistakes and create the better, new America that I see rising from the ashes of the old.

The book serves up a big buffet of political philosophy and raw reality, sprinkled with enough humor to keep the line moving, with most essays short enough that you can read them in just a few minutes. Keep a copy in the bathroom!
