Notes From Gordon: Trumpimus Maximus

From The Article: Excerpted from President Donald Trump’s speech given on June 10, 2025 at Fort Bragg to enlisted Army personnel:
“From June 1775 to June 2025, those foolish enough to challenge America's army have been met with… unstoppable overwhelming force… American soldier[s] will chase you down, crush you… cast you into oblivion… The last sound you ever hear will be the chilling howl of Black Hawks in the dead of night…”
A Note From Gordon: Are these the words of a mature statesman, or a sophomoric strongman? Of a philosophical leader for the ages, or a man possessed with power? Socrates or Caesar? I’ll let you decide.
By the way, Don, the last time the American people were threatened by a hostile, invading foreign power and rallied in our national self-defense was in 1812, when woodsmen with long guns repelled the British for the last time.
Boys and their toys. A now, a billionaire with his very own army. Not quite what Jimmy Madison and company had in mind.
