Notes From Gordon ~ Say Hello To Truman
"I reject your reality and substitute my own." — Adam Savage
Throughout your life you have told many things that are blatantly untrue by information sources that you were conditioned to trust.
Apologies, I’m soft pedaling here.
Let’s take the gloves off.
The fact is that you have been outright lied to—willfully, intentionally and strategically—by sources that include government funded public schools, government subsidized colleges, government authorized media, government owned politicians, and government licensed experts.
See a trend developing?
You were seduced into accepting what these sources told you because you were mentally conditioned to deem them reliable.
The correct term is brainwashed, but I prefer mentally conditioned since it sounds so much less draconian.
The evening news features impressive tumbling graphics, a stentorian soundtrack and serious "anchors" with deep voices, and is a popular platform for this type of inculcation and mind control.
By providing you with just enough plausible information to render what you were being told as true, key bits of critical information can be selectively withheld, thereby creating the illusion that you were told the entire story while nothing could be further from the truth.
The truth is that you have been told so many lies, half-truths and distortions that your mind has gradually become molded as a potter would shape a vase.
By setting the foundation of your education on a base of shifting sand and isolating you from true history (see the P.P.S. below), your mental model of the world can become melded with the consensus worldview of your peers.
Certainly, you may disagree here and there over politics and religion because you like to think of yourself as an individual.
This kind of debate is encouraged since it creates the illusion of free and open dialogue.
But like two guppies arguing inside a fishbowl, the boundaries of your intellectual universe are carefully circumscribed.
Which reminds me of the bumper sticker: INDIVIDUALS, UNITE!
It is far easier to cling to the reality one 'knows' than to be forced to adopt an entirely new one.
When an individual comes to realize that their hologram of reality is like a movie being projected onto the screen of their mind, they must necessarily ask themselves:
"Who wrote my script?”
“Who is running my projector?"
As to who manufactured your personal version of reality… you did.
Everything that you now believe about the world around you was created by you.
No one forced the pieces of your reality into place.
You drew each piece in and stacked it into position, as each new unexamined idea and unquestioned assumption accepted as fact reinforced the others.
All that your rulers had to do was to make sure that the warehouse from which you obtain your mental parts and pieces is kept well stocked with only that inventory which you are allowed to access.
Your mission now, should you decide to accept it, is to discover your own back door to The Truman Show so you can head outdoors to the Truman Show RV Park & Campground and enjoy a world of truth, sunshine, fresh air and rational, caring friends.
Of course, when the alarm clock goes off tomorrow morning you’ll have to get dressed and head back into the theater.
Because that’s where the jobs are.
It’s also where the banks, the post office, the gas stations and the grocery stores are.
Once inside the theater you’ll be forced to interact with the Normals who continue to sleepwalk within the hypnogenic, socio-cultural matrix that we Divergents call Normality.
Some Normals might even be your relatives, neighbors and co-workers.
It’s easy to allow yourself to feel superior to these individuals—even to pity them, or feel anger towards them.
I would suggest that you remain kind and humble.
After all… they don’t know what they don’t know.
"The unaware are unaware of being unaware." — Merrill Jenkins
Do not attempt to correct, criticize or antagonize them.
And by all means, do not attempt to awaken them against their will.
Not if you rely upon them for your job, your food or your housing.
At the end of the working day you can head back outdoors to enjoy the company of fellow Truman Show escapees.
But, I must warn you, your work is not yet done.
Your task now is to collaborate with fellow Divergents to escape the metaverse where quantum computers have created your digital twin.
Huh?
I’ve created a post in my Telegram group to the “Sentient World Simulation.”
You’re welcome to join this group.
Just install the Telegram app on your PC or phone at Telegram.org.
Then search Telegram for the group titled “Gordon Phillips Academy.”
Once you’ve joined the group you can search for the ‘Sentient World Simulation’ post and learn how advanced AI has created a digital twin for each of Earth’s eight billion people.
There’s even one for you.
Gordon
P.S. Need some help escaping the theater? Perhaps you still have one foot out and the other foot in? (I call this doing the “Great Reset Hokey Pokey” ;-)
Get in touch and let’s schedule a friendly ZOOM.
P.P.S. On the subject of being told lies your entire life, how about a big helping of history that’s raw, real and rumbustious?
Visit the Barnes Review Bookstore and search for titles that interest you.
But I must warn you.
You should probably keep some “smelling salts” on hand.
Vodka optional.
