The RISE Reader: NDE's, Death, Taxes & How to Access Past Meetups

Dear Friend,

First, a word about our meetup this past Sunday 09/29 (download the video here), then some instructions on how to access all past and future ZOOM meetup recordings.

Some of you have reported that our recent meetup left your head spinning.

Speaking of which, here is Plato from The Statesman.

“There was a time when God directed the revolutions of the world, but at the completion of a certain cycle he let go; and the world, by a necessity of its nature, turned back, and went round the other way… the truth is, that there are two cycles of the world… [with] a reverse action during infinite ages. This new action is spontaneous, and is due to exquisite perfection of balance, to the vast size of the universe, and to the smallness of the pivot upon which it turns.”

Plato continues:

“The reversal which takes place from time to time of the motion of the universe… may be supposed to result in the greatest changes to the… inhabitants of the world at the time… there necessarily occurs a great destruction… few survivors of the race are left…”

Looks like the ancients were well aware of the recurring 12,000 year cycle of rotational reversal of our shared spaceship (Earth).

SIDEBAR: This time around when our small, blue planet reverses rotation, the entire Pacific Ocean will rush across the American continent from west to east. Another good reason to leave California!

I’ll share much more on this in weeks to come.

This coming Sunday night we’ll discuss Near Death Experiences which one person who experienced an NDE called a “Near Life Experience.”

She explained that her real life was on “the other side” and that she returned here to the physical realm for the occasional existential tune-up.

Interesting perspective, eh?

They say that the only two things guaranteed in life are death and taxes.

Death: Only the body dies. The real you goes on…and on…and on. So there goes guarantee #1.

Taxes: Americans don’t owe income tax on domestic source earnings. So there goes guarantee #2. And employment tax is 100% voluntary.

CLUE: If FICA withholdings were mandatory you wouldn’t have to fill out a W-4. The IRS would require your employer to withhold from you without your permission. But you have to sign the W-4 before it can take effect, right? Feeling the love?

So there go the two scary guarantees, and don’t you feel better already?

Overcoming the fear of death—which is the basis for all of the world’s numerous one true religions—provides a perspective from which to sit back and enjoy the show.

SPIRITUAL SIDEBAR: I would add that all of us are connected or we wouldn’t have met in the first place.

My best guess is that Celeste owned a magnificent castle the last time around and we all worked for her… ha!

If any of the above boggles you, call the local high school and ask to speak to the computer science teacher.

Ask them to send over their brightest student and barter a pizza for any techie issues you need help with, like finding the Recycle bin? (sorry, that was cruel….)
